How easy is it to break a tungsten ring?

If you drop a tungsten ring, or if you accidentally smash it against a hard surface, the metal may crack or shatter.
Can I wear my Tungsten ring in the shower? Unlike sterling silver, your tungsten ring won't scratch or tarnish, so it can stay on in the shower or bath.
Tungsten has a tensile strength of about 50,000 to 60,000 pounds per square inches (PSI), which is more than any other material. Unless it's exposed to 60,000 PSI or more, it shouldn't break.

Important Information regarding cleaning your tungsten:
Do not, by any means, using any harsh cleaning materials/chemicals such as ammonia, bleach or chlorine. These chemicals can damage your tungsten ring. It would be wise to avoid any chlorine treated pools or Jacuzzis when using your ring.
Tungsten carbide rings can't be resized for two reasons: they are too brittle, and their atomic bonding, which forms during sintering, doesn't bond with additional material. The process of resizing rings involves cutting them, and adding/removing metal of the same alloy.
What damages tungsten?

Alcohol hand sanitizers, lotions and dirt can leave build-up on your ring which might make your ring appear darker. When this happens, just wash your all your tungsten rings as directed above while thoroughly wiping the surfaces.
Can a metal detector detect tungsten? Tungsten has high electrical conductivity, so it can set off a metal detector even if it is paramagnetic. Even tungsten carbide is detectable via a metal detector as its carbon content does not affect the electrical conductivity of tungsten.
The only metal that has the almost exact same density as gold is tungsten with a density of 19.300 g/cm3. Tungsten also has a melting point similar to that of gold. However, tungsten is also very rare and therefore quite expensive, albeit cheaper than gold.

Is a tungsten ring worth anything?

However, if you take your trusted hammer and strike a diamond, it will easily chip or crack. It is not indestructible and neither is Tungsten carbide.
No specific health effects have been associated with exposure to tungsten in humans. Exposure to high levels of tungsten is unlikely.
Tungsten vs Titanium
As mentioned above, tungsten is the strongest of any natural metal (142,000 psi). But in terms of impact strength, tungsten is weak — it's a brittle metal known to shatter on impact. On the other hand, Titanium has a tensile strength of 63,000 psi.
While other metals can be removed with a wedding ring cutter, tungsten rings are a type of ring that can only be "cut" with vice grips or any kind of locking pliers. Most emergency personnel have this common tool, as well as your local emergency rooms.

Test the Ring Out

Use a vise grip wrench
While unscratchable, tungsten rings are very brittle and not malleable. Gently apply firm compression using an adjustable vise grip (borrow from your hospital's electrical or engineering department). This will fracture the ring. Carefully collect the pieces, which may have sharp edges.
